Iron Sportster made during the 1980s:
Attention all Harley Davidson collectors. This is a rare, unmolested early 1985 1000cc iron head XLH Sportster.
This 1983 XR-1000 was built by Bill at GMA brakes in Omaha. He built it as a showcase for GMA products. It also has many custom one-off components.
My 80 Sportster was mostly built by local welding legend Kenny Puccio. It took the 92 Oakland Bike Show "Best Engineering Award".
This bike is fresh off a new top end job and 10k service. The top end has new 0.020 over KB pistons and rings. The cylinders were machined to spec and the engine has fresh seals and gaskets.
This 1980 XR750 runs and has a race history including Otis Chandler. 1980 is the last year Harley sold the complete bike.
