This design replaces the pre-1970 clutch release worm mechanism and the
entire sprocket cover.
This design study is rough and incomplete, it is
best used to get the hole locations on the case.
A problems with the design are that the release arm to the transmission
rod is a bit long. The hand pressure required is pretty large. Also, the
design will only work on XLCH cases that have no starter pocket. The
picture shows the design modified from this early drawing. There are no
drawings of this working design at this time. |
